Full Job Description

The Perioperative services Unit Secretary candidate must have exceptional communication, organizational and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have hospital or related experience and assist the surgical services care team with quality care for elective/emergent surgical patients. The Sec-Tech will efficiently assist the surgical services care team with general secretarial, registration and patient care technical support in a fast-paced setting, while placing a high priority on safety, customer service and infection prevention.

Education:

+ High School Diploma or GED required, Word, Excel

Qualifications:

+ Prior administrative and/or patient care experience in health care

+ Computer Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel required. Epic preferred

+ Clinical Skills: Phlebotomy, EKG, glucometer and BLS certification preferred

+ Strong Communication skills
