Qualifications
Required
- Minimum Education of a HS Diploma
- Associate degree preferred
- Must possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Must have experience with data entry and computers

JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Pathology Laboratory Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Pathology/PMG
STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Laboratory Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: The Pathology Laboratory Assistant will provide administrative help in the laboratory as it relates to specimens and slides.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Receives and accessions pathology laboratory specimens into the laboratory interface system (LIS)
+ Scans specimen grossing information into LIS
+ Handles special requests for IHC staining
