We are seeking a motivated individual passionate about IT financial management and technology to join our team as an Entry-Level Apptio Administrator. In this role, you will support the Apptio platform and assist with IT financial management, cost transparency, and planning. You'll collaborate closely with the IT finance team, stakeholders, and other IT professionals to ensure the effective operation of the Apptio platform.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the administration and maintenance of the Apptio platform for various modules: IT Planning (ITP), Cost Transparency, Cloudability, and Business Intelligence (BI).
  • Create new events in Apptio ITP for each budget/forecast event for planning and reconciliation. Prepare SAP load for Corporate Accounting after the Business Unit budget is finalized.
  • Maintain all the reference tables in Apptio TBM Studio to reflect new organizational changes, Clarity labor schedules, Chart of Account, etc.
  • Work closely with Apptio Customer Success Manager and Apptio Engineer teams to address Apptio Production Issues and resolve support tickets.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of reports and dashboards in Apptio Cost Transparency to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT finance teams to ensure accurate financial data within Apptio.
  • Utilize data integration scripting knowledge to automate data processes.
  • Provide user training and support on Apptio functionalities.
  • Participate in Apptio platform upgrades and enhancements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Support identified business problems and issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis.
  • Strong interest in IT financial management and cost transparency.
  • Basic understanding of IT financial concepts and terminology.
  • Familiarity with Apptio or other IT financial management tools (SAP) is a plus.
  • Experience with data integration scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python) is preferred.
  • Ability to learn how to configure and customize reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications

▪ BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, FINANCE, OR A RELATED FIELD.

Minimum Experience

▪ 0-3 YEARS OF RELEVANT ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE

Other Job-Specific Skills
▪ SUPPORT IDENTIFIED BUSINESS PROBLEMS AND ISSUES, AND DEVELOP STRATEGIC, ANALYTICAL, AND FINANCIAL FRAMEWORKS TO CONDUCT ANALYSIS.
▪ STRONG INTEREST IN IT FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND COST TRANSPARENCY.
▪ BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF IT FINANCIAL CONCEPTS AND TERMINOLOGY.
▪ FAMILIARITY WITH APPTIO OR OTHER IT FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT TOOLS (SAP) IS A PLUS.
▪ EXPERIENCE WITH DATA INTEGRATION SCRIPTING LANGUAGES (E.G., SQL, PYTHON) IS PREFERRED.
▪ ABILITY TO LEARN HOW TO CONFIGURE AND CUSTOMIZE REPORTS AND DASHBOARDS TO MEET BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS

Working Conditions

▪ Remote 60% - California based.
▪ Overtime - As needed based on workload to achieve completion targets on time
