Responsibilities

  • Assess the patient's condition and set goals.
  • Prescribe appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals.
  • Meet the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of the patient, including discharge planning.
  • Assist in coordinating nursing care of patients when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
  • Establish and maintain communications and utilize teaching opportunities with patients and other significant individuals.
  • Maintain the standards of nursing care.
  • Implement the policies and procedures of the hospital.
  • Prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment to triage and assist physicians as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid CT RN license
  • C.P.R. certification
  • ACLS certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
