  • Perform mathematical calculations and field checking of field data.
  • Take accurate and clear notes and perform note reduction.
  • Read and understand engineering plans and specifications.
  • May perform office duties, including data reduction, field note reduction, calculations, data checks, and staking computations using survey computer programs Auto CAD and Carlson.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5-10 years Surveying experience in conducting ALTA/NSPS, Boundary, Topographic and Construction Surveys as a Crew-Leader.
  • Experienced in controlling the function of surveying instruments and calculators.
  • Proficient in the use of total stations, GPS Receivers and data collectors.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Field procedures while conducting ALTA, Boundary, Topographic, Hydrographic and Construction Surveys.

 Manage the overall efficiency and responsibility of survey crew.

 Ensure survey crew adheres to state requirements, company policies, procedures and safety plans.

 Support Survey Department in organizing and coordinating projects including a broad range of assignments requiring knowledge of Land surveying/mapping.

 Assist office survey staff in maintaining proper documentation necessary for research, change orders, field notebooks, time sheets, project records.

 Performs mathematical calculations and field checking of field data.

 Take accurate and clear notes and performs note reduction.

 Reads and understands engineering plans and specifications.

 May also perform office duties, including data reduction, field note reduction, calculations, data checks and staking computations using survey computer programs Auto CAD and Carlson.

Skills and Requirements

 Must be proficient in the use of total stations, GPS Receivers and data collectors.

 Valid Drivers License required - Licensed Alabama Crew Leader null
