The Maintenance Technician at Horning Management Company, LLC is responsible for conducting a preventive maintenance program, repairing and completing all service requests, maintaining the exterior of all buildings in good repair, and ensuring the safety and convenience of residents and staff. This role involves a variety of tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs, as well as building maintenance and upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic repairs as required (i.e., plumbing, electrical, locks, carpentry, and appliances).
- Maintenance of all vacant apartments, laundry rooms, and any other common areas or structure on each property.
- Maintenance of building exteriors, interiors, fixtures, appliances, and equipment.
- Perform on-call emergency maintenance per Horning policy.
- Completion of all service requests in a timely manner. Leave apartments in clean condition when service requests have been completed.
- Foster a positive relationship with all residents through courteous service and quality workmanship.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- High School or GED
- 3 years of experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities that would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures.
- HVAC certification preferred.
- Knowledge on Yardi and Nexus is a plus.
- Must be able to lift 25-50lbs
- 1 year experience and knowledge of HVAC Split Systems and Magic Pack
- Appliance repair experience
