Responsibilities

  • Act as lead for the department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Manage and coordinate all departmental team members in various work assignments.
  • Ensure the department operates efficiently and productively.
  • Inspect units and common areas to ensure compliance with departmental standards.
  • Monitor guests' requests and complaints, resolving issues and coordinating with other departments.
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of linens and supplies.
  • Coordinate the Lost and Found and uniform exchange, ensuring accurate procedures are followed.
  • Monitor all laundry operations and assist with the carpet and floor maintenance program.
  • Ensure all assets of the department, equipment, supplies, and storage are accurately locked and secured.
  • Assist with hiring, supervising, disciplining, and training of all staff under the Housekeeping Department.
  • Assist with administrative tasks associated with maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Investigate accidents and initiate accident reports recommending corrective action.
  • Ensure all departmental staff is working safely and in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  • Adhere to all corporate required purchasing policies and controls.
  • Assist on all guest activities as needed by management.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2 years of prior supervisory experience
  • 3 years in a related housekeeping role
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma
  • Knowledge of Housekeeping equipment and chemicals; including OSHA and Blood Borne Pathogen safety standards

What will I be doing?

  • In the absence of the Executive Housekeeper, the assistant acts as lead for the department and manages and coordinates all departmental team members in the various work assignments to ensure a department that is run efficiently and productively in providing excellence in cleaning services to the guests and owners. Routinely inspect units and common areas to ensure they are in compliance with departmental standards. Monitors guests requests and complaints, resolving issues and coordinating efforts with other departments as vital to provide excellent service.
  • Assists in ensuring that an accurate inventory of linens and supplies is maintained. Helps coordinate the Lost and Found and uniform exchange and ensures accurate procedures are followed. Monitors all laundry operations and assists with the carpet and floor maintenance program. Ensures all assets of the department, equipment, supplies and storage are accurately locked and secured.
  • Assists with hiring, supervising, disciplining and training of all staff under the direction of the Housekeeping Department and assists with administrative tasks associated with maintaining accurate documentation such as payroll timekeeping records, staff schedules, vacation hours, etc. May investigate accidents and initiate accident reports recommending appropriate corrective action. Ensures all departmental staff is working safely and in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  • Adheres to all corporate required purchasing policies and controls to include all outside contractor bids, budgets and schedules. Meetings for the department may be required. Depending on what the executive housekeeper assigns, additional tasks and special projects might need to be completed.
  • Assists on all guest activities as the need arises by management.
Qualifications

What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • 2 years of prior supervisory experience
  • 3 years in a related housekeeping role
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma
  • Knowledge of Housekeeping equipment and chemicals; including OSHA and Blood Borne Pathogen safety standards.

The hourly rate for this role is between $25.00 -$27.50 based on experience
