Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three years of operational or administrative experience
  • One year of lead/supervisory experience
  • Evidence of leadership qualities and skills in influencing, motivating, and directing others
  • Evidence of advanced communication, computer and interpersonal skills
  • Evidence of being self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Evidence of advanced problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, multi-task, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Previous supervisory and health care experience
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Demonstrated human relations skills to influence and motivate others

**Responsibilities**

Routinely serves as a resource and mentor to others, demonstrates initiative, proficiency, strong organizational and communication skills to optimize the time of those supported. Develops systems and procedures to maintain quality and efficiency. Responsible for coordinating and leading meetings; evaluating performance of staff which includes performance appraisals, performance improvement plans, and corrective action. Works closely with department/division leadership and other supervisors to assure smooth functioning of work unit. Must ensure staff compliance with following standard operating procedures. PRS-specific supervisor responsibilities also include: ongoing recognition of new tests/stains for pathology cases, engagement of stakeholders -assuring reporting requirements are met and accurate data collection is maintained. Manage training, education, and mentoring both new and existing members of the work unit. Troubleshooting and resolving highly complex pathology cases in a rapidly changing laboratory environment is also requisite.

**Qualifications**

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of operational or administrative experience, which includes one (1) year of lead/supervisory experience.
