The Group Lead for Systems and Mission Analysis at The MITRE Corporation will play a crucial role in leading the Systems and Mission Analysis Department, focusing on innovative solutions for national defense, healthcare, aviation, and more.   • Translating analysis results into actionable recommendations for the US Government agencies.
  • Developing new business through outreach to program divisions
  • Developing and executing department technical and business goals
  • Ensuring technical quality of deliverables
  • Hiring and onboarding new staff
  • Onboarding and supervision of early career staff in McLean
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to staff, helping them in their technical growth and development
  • Providing informed, concrete, productive feedback on staff performance

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 2+ years of technical leadership
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance for consideration.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff development
  • Documented success designing / developing Digital Engineering (DE) solutions
  • Demonstrated expertise in business development and networking within MITRE
  • Deep technical skills in systems architecture modeling, trade space analysis, systems design and development, multidisciplinary modeling and simulation, and data analysis
  • Experience with the AI4SE
  • Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills

Preferred

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field
  • 8 + years' experience developing MBSE and DE solutions

The System and Mission Analysis Department is charged with identifying, developing and applying new technologies that can address the Government's most challenging Systems Engineering problems.

The Systems Engineering Innovation Center is seeking a Group Leader (GL) to join the leadership team of the Systems and Mission Analysis Department . Our technical strategy is focused on analytical and quantitative Systems Engineering and Mission Engineering, including Systems of Systems (SoS) engineering, trade space analysis, and decision support under uncertainty, as enabled by the modern Digital Engineering (DE) and Artificial Intelligence for Systems Engineering (AI4SE) approaches.
