The Cooling Tower Technician (CTT3) assists in the construction, erection, installation, fabrication, and repair of all types of cooling towers. This role requires the ability to work independently, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to International Cooling Tower USA Inc's quality standards. The position may involve extensive travel depending on project locations and requires a basic understanding of carpentry concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean worksite by ensuring the worksite is free of debris and trash throughout the day
  • Provide crew with needed materials to perform the tasks on the ground or in the tower
  • Roll-out tools at the beginning of the workday and put away tools at the end of the workday
  • Work at heights as needed while observing 100% tie-off
  • Assist CTT1 and/or CTT2 to assemble structure as directed, wearing tool belt and harness
  • Signal operators of construction equipment to assist with alignment, movement, and placement of machinery and materials
  • Additional tasks as assigned by Foreman and/or Superintendent

Qualifications

  • Ability to work at a productive pace and follow instructions
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision, and to demonstrate initiative after the completion of your tasks
  • Ability to listen well, follow instructions, and make sure that directives are completed
  • High school diploma, or GED equivalent
  • 0-3 years of construction experience
  • Must pass level 1 DISA background
  • Must pass drug and hair follicle
  • Must have a TWIC card
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to operate company vehicles as assigned
  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Must have steel toe boots

Preferred

  • Knowledge and application of safety standards through OSHA training and experience
  • Ability to pass Safety Council training in English
  • Ability to pass Confined Space training in English
  • Basic knowledge of construction safety guidelines (OSHA 10 preferred)
  • Work at heights of 60 feet
  • Work in ALL outdoor climates
  • Working hours range from 40-84, no set hours. Must be flexible to work Sat or Sun, depending on the project

Full Job Description

Cooling Tower Technician;
The CTT3 assists the CTT1 and /or CTT2 with the construction, erection, installation, fabrication, and repair of all types of cooling towers. The CTT3 must be able to carry out assigned duties without the constant supervision of a CTT2 CTT1 or Foreman. The incumbent must work diligently to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to ICT quality standards. This position may require extensive travel depending on the project location. Must understand carpentry concepts.
