The Maintenance Technician at Kinder Morgan serves as an entry-level technician responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and repair of equipment related to the movement and storage of products within the terminal, pipeline, and right-of-way. - Compliance with all Company Safety Rules and Regulations while performing all duties, and attendance to all assigned training courses for operations and safety.
- Coordinate with the Operations Department as required to minimize operational impacts.
- Perform periodic inspections of tanks and equipment as directed by supervision.
- Perform any duty as assigned by supervision.
- Ability to accept supervision/direction and work cooperatively with other people.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- 2 year degree in one of the following core disciplines - Mechanical, Electrical or Corrosion
- A minimum of one year of work experience or apprenticeship performing maintenance activities in at least one of the core disciplines.
- Must meet the criteria to obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) as required by USCG/DHS regulations.
- Good oral and written communications.
- Basic computer skills (send and receive email, perform inventory accounting, and enter repair work orders).

Position Description
Primary Purpose
Serve as an entry level technician to accomplish the maintenance, calibration and repair of equipment related to the movement and storage of products within the terminal, pipeline and right-of-way.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Safely and efficiently assist with the installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of equipment to include valves, gauges, meters, tanks, pumps and familiarity with automation systems/PLCs etc. etc.
+ Perform maintenance and service duties for Process Safety Management (PSM) assets including completion of documentation and recordkeeping. Daily use of computers for communications, training, maintenance tracking in Maximo and inventory purposes.
+ Compliance with all Company Safety Rules and Regulations while performing all duties, and attendance to all assigned training courses for operations and safety.
+ Coordinate with the Operations Department as required to minimize operational impacts.

Working Conditions:
+ Work rotating shift schedules in a terminal that operates 24/7, and be available for call-out and overtime.
+ Tasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
