Qualifications

Required

  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
  • Oregon Nuclear Medicine Technologist upon hire or temporary upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board within 6 months of hire or National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board within 6 months of hire.
  • New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
  • New graduates must be board eligible and obtain certification ARRT(N) or NMTCB within 6 months of hire.

Preferred

  • 2 years of clinical experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Prepares patient, prepares and administers prescribed dose of radioactive pharmaceuticals and non-radioactive pharmaceuticals, performs calculations and manipulates data according to established parameters. Ensures proper preparation and/or ordering of radioactive material, calibrates equipment, assures appropriate quality control, monitors patients and performs other duties as assigned.
