  • Approximately 18-23 patients per shift
  • Perform CT scans according to established protocols to produce detailed images of patient anatomy for diagnostic purposes.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during scans, including explaining procedures, positioning patients, and adhering to all safety regulations concerning radiation exposure.
  • Adjust scanning equipment and modify scanning parameters as needed to optimize image quality.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare team members to interpret scan results and discuss diagnostic procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all procedures performed and any issues encountered during scanning.
  • Assist in the X-ray department as needed, performing standard diagnostic radiographic procedures compliant with departmental protocols.
  • Manage and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or discrepancies to the appropriate maintenance team.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, especially those regarding patient privacy (HIPAA) and infection control.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 1 year experience or willing to accept a 1st time traveler
  • BLS certification
  • Fluoroscopy Permit
  • CA state license
  • ARRT certification

Job Description
Healthcare Staffing Professionals is currently looking for CT Technologist to work in a acute care hospital located in Mission Viejo, CA. This full-time position involves primarily working with computed tomography (CT) imaging but will also require coverage in X-ray departments as needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CT imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This role requires flexibility, as shifts are overnight and include weekend work.
Pay Rate:
$60/hr
Shifts: 5x8 Variable shifts. Start times 3pm or 8pm

Requirements:
  • Min 1 years’ experience will accept 1st time traveler
  • Certs REQ: BLS, Flouro Permit, CA state license, ARRT
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to provide clear and concise information to patients and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
