76528BRJob Posting Title:Child Life Specialist I - MSICUDepartment:Patient Services-Child LifeAutoReqId:76528BRStatus:Part-TimeStandard Hours per Week:30 Job Posting Category:ClinicalJob Posting Description:This Child Life Specialist will be responsible for supporting patients and families in our high acuity Medical and Surgical Intensive Care units. We are looking for an experienced CCLS to participate in therapeutic activities to support patients and their families when facing trauma/grief, complicated diagnosis and highly acute medical situations. Working with a team of other Child Life Specialists, together the team will responsible for facilitating coping, preparation and education related to the hospital experience. This is a 30 hours a week role (three - 10 hour days).

This Child Life Specialist will be responsible for:

+ Participating in therapeutic activities and programs to meet patients' psychosocial and developmental needs, and facilitating adjustment to health care experiences for patients.

+ Serving as member of multidisciplinary team.

+ Delegating work assignments to volunteers and participating in clinical training of student interns.

To qualify, you must have:
