- Cleans assigned areas by washing walls, doors, door frames, ceilings, televisions, and windows.
- Strips and makes patient beds.
- Strips and applies floor finish and polishes floors.
- Sweeps and mops floor areas, vacuums and cleans carpets, using appropriate solutions.
- Arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion after cleaning assigned area.
- Cleans in outpatient and sterile processing using proper cleaning solutions.
- Completes all procedures scheduled during the shift without sacrificing the quality of work.
- Collects waste from all areas of hospital and sanitizes all waste cans.
- Collects soiled linen.
- Collects hazardous waste as established by Infection Control Committee.
- Operates various types of cleaning equipment both mechanical and electrical.
- Climbs ladder to hang cubicles, window drapes, or reach high areas for other cleaning purposes.
- Arranges furniture for meetings, workshops, and community affairs.
Qualifications
Required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and be mobile.
- Prefer experience with floor cleaning equipment.
- Ability to strip and refinish floors and clean carpets.
- Ability to read and understand simple verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
- Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations.
- Ability to utilize proper personal protective equipment.
- Successful completion of a ninety (90) day probationary period.

What You Will Do:
