  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon or Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine upon hire.
  • Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency.
  • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital.
  • Must be credentialed for all core procedures.

Preferred

  • Certification as an Emergency Medical Commander.

General Summary

Provides emergency care to patients.

WellSpan Health is demonstrating its commitment to Shrewsbury, Carlisle, and Newbury, Pennsylvania through the opening of Neighborhood Hospitals. Every site will feature a state-of-the-art fully licensed 10-bed Emergency Department. The expansion goes beyond just building new facilities; it's about enhancing community health by ensuring immediate care is readily available.

We are seeking Board-Certified Emergency physicians to join our teams.

+ Enjoy working flexible 24-hr. shifts

+ WellSpan is partnering with Emerus, a leader in community hospital development, to launch state-of-the-art, small-format hospitals in Central Pennsylvania.

+ These facilities will be fully licensed under the WellSpan brand and staffed by our own expert medical teams, with additional support from Emerus.

Projected opening dates:

+ Newberry - November 10, 2025.

+ Shrewsbury - December 8, 2025.

+ Carlisle - December 15, 2025.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:
