  • Establish regular communication channels with user departments and proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Provide support for various office administration and inventory systems through efficient data input and management.
  • Utilize materials-handling equipment to organize and maintain the warehouse's functionality.
  • Ensure the security of company records and create a secure environment for their storage and retrieval.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must live within vicinity of Madison, WI campus location.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions.

Preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified on fork truck operations.
  • Previous records management, files maintenance, or inventory experience.
  • Proficient data entry, 10-key and typing skills.

Role Snapshot

Perform Clerical Duties related to stock inventory, tracking and delivery of material, fulfillment of records requests and documentation to assist in supporting the corporate services department across various business locations.

In this role you will:   

+ Maintain Office Supplies : Ensure the adequate inventory of office supplies, making sure essential items are readily available for various departments.

+ Assist in IT Inventory Management : Play a role in the efficient management and shipping of IT inventory to meet the organization's technology needs.

+ Tracking IT assets, including computers, peripherals, and networking equipment.

+ Collaborating with the IT department to monitor and update inventory records.

+ Assisting with the preparation and packaging of IT equipment for internal use or deployment to other sites.

+ Conducting regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identifying discrepancies.

+ Coordinating IT asset disposal and recycling in compliance with company policies and environmental regulations.

+ Prepare, Scan, and Track Packages : Prepare, scan, and track packages and corporate records, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to designated sites.

+ Records Management : Review new box transmittals for accuracy and completeness, create new box labels, and handle requests for records, including the accurate refiling of returned records.

+ Communication and Issue Resolution : Establish regular communication channels with user departments, ensuring adherence to central stores and record center policies and procedures, and proactively identifying and resolving related issues.

+ Data Input Support : Provide valuable support for various office administration and inventory systems through efficient data input and management.

+ Warehouse Organization : Utilize materials-handling equipment, including pallet jacks, carts, and lifts, to organize and maintain the warehouse's optimal functionality.

+ Security and Record Retrieval : Ensure the security of company records and create a secure environment for their storage and retrieval.

+ Starting Base Salary : Minimum pay rate of $17.20 /hr

+ Sign on Bonus: $2500

+ Scheduled Shift: This opportunity offers an 8-hour shift Mon-Fri between 8:00am-4:30pm CST at our WPS Corporate Center Building

+ Work Location : Please note that the assigned office for this position is the WPS Corporate Center Building (1717 W. Broadway) in Madison, WI
