The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing shift coverage and operational support for all facilities systems, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire, life, and safety. Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC, and all facility support equipment.
  • Perform equipment rounds, and service requests as directed and in accordance with the company CMMS.
  • Perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Become proficient with operating several building automation and SCADA systems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support vendors on preventive maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assist site with emergency situations (fire alarms, power outages, environmental spills).
  • Comply with all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient writing & communication skills.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to use Windows based computers.
  • Ability to read HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and architectural drawings.
  • EPA Refrigerant Certification(s) a plus.
  • Trade school degree or certificate in mechanical, electrical, or controls disciplines a plus.
  • Three years of building operating experience, and data center experience preferred.

Work Schedule- 3pm - 11pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

    Physical Work Abilities and Requirements-

    • Walking frequently, throughout large facilities.
    • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
    • Climbing stairs and navigating rooftops to access equipment.
    • Using ladders and man lifts, working from heights.
