The Procurement Manager at Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. is responsible for leading a team to manage freight, MRO supplies, equipment, packaging, utilities, and services at US production facilities. Responsibilities

  • Lead team responsible for freight, MRO supplies, equipment, packaging, utilities and services to maintain operations at US Production facilities.
  • Manages development and execution of Procurement processes in line with established metrics.
  • Delivers cost reduction in managed spend categories by actively pursuing cost reduction opportunities and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Develops contracts and service agreements with suppliers, ensures supply base delivers to the expected service levels and KPIs defined.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Locates, qualifies, and establishes a network of vendors to supply materials and services.
  • Leads SAP and Business process improvement initiatives impacting managed spend areas.
  • Prepares bid requests and reviews supply quotations.
  • Leads Procurement projects and participates in cross-functional projects as assigned.
  • Communicates effectively with suppliers, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Coach and Mentor direct reports, and other Procurement team members.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Purchasing of Indirect Spend categories in a mid-large size organization
  • At least 3 years of experience with managing global freight and transportation
  • Bachelors’ degree in business or related

Preferred

  • MBA
  • CPM or CSCP certification
  • Chemical industry background
