The Production Operator at RailWorks is responsible for using various machine equipment to assist in the manufacturing of NARSTCO products in an efficient and safe manner. Responsibilities
- Work safely following all required safety and work protocols and wearing of personnel protective equipment as required.
- Carry out to the full extent required, production activities for the processing of all NARSTCO products
- Follow instructions of Production Foreman and Team Leads
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
- Work at a reasonable pace (measured by production efficiency) and within our quality standards to insure timely completion
- Assist new employees in safe and efficient production which includes following standard operating procedures and instructional material and manuals
- Exercise the utmost degree of integrity, honesty, good faith, and fidelity to the Company, in dealing with the Company and with its customers, employees, suppliers and other public entities
- Provide other reasonable services as the Company may request from time to time.
Qualifications
Required
- High School diploma or GED
- One to two years' experience in Manufacturing
- One to two years Forklift operation and certification a bonus
- Basic reading and mathematics skills
- Knowledge and experience in working punch press, form press, forklift, using calipers, reading a tape measure, operation of PLC equipment, automated machinery, grinders, and machine fabrication tools preferred
- Basic maintenance knowledge such as tightening and loosening bolts etc. is preferred
- Ability to follow instructions, drawings and dimensions as required for quality
- Ability to work well with tools and machinery required

Position Summary

Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties
+ Work safely following all required safety and work protocols and wearing of personnel protective equipment as required.
