Job summary
The primary role of the Warehouse Manager is to ensure optimal performance of day-to-day warehouse functions, including shipping & receiving, picking, inventory management, inventory control, warehouse upkeep, food safety documentation, and data entry, to deliver our products to our customers in a way that reflects our commitment to quality and safety.
Responsibilities
· Receive and unload raw material from trucks and packaging according to company food safety protocols
· Maintain alignment with FDA, FSMA, USDA Organic, SQF, Food Defense and Food Fraud requirements as it pertains to the position.
· Unload inbound freight and stock in correct locations and load outbound freight
· Manage small parcel and outbound UPS/FedEx shipments
· Assist in creation of BOL and shipping documentation
· Manage general warehouse activities, including oversight and management of raw material and finished goods inventory.
· Ensure warehouse safety through training, documentation and implementation of GMPs and company SOPs. Stay up to date with industry safety standards.
· Maintain a well-trained and motivated staff through excellent leadership and coaching skills.
· Daily management of warehouse and identify crucial objectives; train and develop staff where needed.
· Pick, pack and ship orders sent from inside sales and customer service
· Assist in monthly internal food safety audits.
· Conduct quarterly raw material and finished goods physical inventory reconciliations
· Hire and train warehouse staff as needed
· Conduct quarterly employee reviews of all direct reports as needed
Requirements/Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED
· Forklift training and certificate (minimum 2 years’ experience)
· Knowledge of inventory systems, including cycle counts, pick orders, inventory control
· Knowledgeable on FSMA and FDA regulation is a plus.
· Ability to do mathematical calculations with precision and consistency.
· Strong oral and written communication- ability to speak and communicate in Spanish is a plus!
· Ability to work in fast-past environment.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
