  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management to support business planning and resource allocation.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science related field, business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years proven experience hiring for and managing a remote sales team in the Life Sciences industry.
  • At least 5 years proven experience in commercial sales roles in the Life Sciences industry.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing new client relationships to build sales funnel.
  • Demonstrated experience using analytical methods to improve processes and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in Contract Development and/or Contract Manufacturing Organizations supporting Cell and Gene Therapies
  • Sales into the clinical drug development process, including knowledge of call points, sales cycle and KOL for Biotech and Pharma in the Cell and Gene Therapy space

As the Regional Sales Manager for the West, you will be responsible for leading and managing the sales functions within the territory. Your primary goal will be to drive orders growth, develop and maintain strong client relationships, and ensure the overall success of the sales team. This position requires a highly motivated and experienced professional with a proven track record in sales management and a deep understanding of the West Region.

This position is part of the Global Sales Organization and will be fully remote. You will be a part of the North America Sales Leadership Team and report to the Senior Director, North America Sales responsible for achieving revenue, growth and strategic goals in the West Region.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Sales Performance: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the West region, aligned with company objectives and market dynamics, in order to hit assigned quota.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team targets.

  • Development: Conduct periodic performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.

  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.

  • Forecasting: Ensure accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management to support business planning and resource allocation.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science related field, business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of proven experience hiring for and managing a remote sales team in the Life Sciences industry, or related experiences.
  • At least 5 years proven experience in commercial sales roles in the Life Sciences industry.
  • At least 1 year of sales or sales management for a Contract Development and/or Contract Manufacturing Organizations supporting Cell and Gene Therapies
  • At least 1 year of sales experience into the clinical drug development process, including knowledge of call points, sales cycle and KOL for Biotech and Pharma in the Cell and Gene Therapy space

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Demonstrated experience using analytical methods to improve processes and systems.

The salary range for this role is $160,000-$225,000 per year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
