Qualifications

Required

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
  • Must be able to pass Level I Installer testing certification (including: delivering and setting in place freestanding ranges, washers, dryers, freestanding refrigerators and non-European built-in dishwashers and microwaves)
  • Must have a valid state drivers license and proof of insurance

Preferred

  • Ability to inspect gas, water, and electricity to properly make connections and ensure safety for the consumer
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

The Design Center is a spectacular new interactive showroom experience. Our showroom, unlike any other with endless inspiration everywhere you look, thanks to our 30+ interactive kitchen, bath, and laundry rooms. Customers will explore hundreds of products from the most innovative brands in appliances, cabinetry, fixtures and more!

**Position Purpose:**

The Appliance Installer I is responsible for installing appliances for HDDC customers. They are responsible for the delivery and installation of products. The Appliance Installer I must ensure timely completion of all jobs and installations. The Appliance Installer I is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through timely, quality installation of products and services offered. The Appliance Installer I is responsible to ensure compliance and proper adherence to job process and installation standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

70% Customer Service

+ Ensures timely completion of all jobs and installations

+ Listens to and resolves install complaints in the field and escalates issues if beyond their skill set

+ Delivers appliances and plumbing products to customer's home or other specified location

**Travel Requirements:**

+ Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

**Working Conditions:**

+ Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.

+ Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving merchandise
