The Application Analyst at Segway is responsible for identifying and correcting system errors, ensuring real-time access updates, serving as the point of contact for change requests and system alterations, creating and updating training materials, provisioning new users, and providing support for all system users. This role involves working closely with management to ensure key functionalities are understood, building custom reports and dashboards, maintaining control of access rights and security settings, and serving as a communications liaison within IT and between IT and the business.

  • Checking to ensure that all accesses are up to date, in real-time.
  • Providing a central point of contact for all change requests and system alterations to business applications.
  • Creating and updating training manuals, policies, and procedures.
  • Provisioning new users, providing system training and customization.
  • Working with management to ensure key functionalities are understood.
  • Providing support for all system users. Escalating to senior IT staff if needed.
  • Building custom reports and dashboards specific to job functions.
  • Maintaining control of access rights, security settings, and user privileges.
  • Generating detailed process maps for sales, marketing, and business workflows.
  • Working with senior IT staff to manage project implementation and back-end integrations.
  • Serves as communications liaison within IT and between IT and the business for releases, outages and critical business impacting situations ensuring that communications are timely, accurate and relevant.

Qualifications

Required

  • University degree or college diploma in information technology.
  • 3–8 years’ experience in automotive, power sports or consumer electronics industry as an application analyst.
  • Must have implemented at least two full-cycle of DMS (Dealer Management System) in automotive, power sports, or a motor cycle company.
  • Must have strong understanding of one of sales, logistics, accounting, service or ecommerce business knowledge and solution design experience.
  • Must be solutions-oriented and have exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and utilize new applications and software systems effectively and efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, priority-shifting environment.
