The OR Surgical Tech at Loyola University Health System provides patient care in an outpatient surgical operating room, utilizing aseptic technique and focusing on the needs of the surgical patient. Demonstrates basic case preparation. Selects equipment & supplies by use of preference cards. Locates basic equipment & supplies. Identifies & demonstrates methods of surgical reprocessing of instrumentation & supplies. Prepares self for the scrub role. Prepares surgical instrument supplies for surgery.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education Required: Associates Degree Specify Degree(s): Surgical Technology
Minimum Experience: Required:
Less than one year of previous job-related experience
Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
Licensure/Certifications Required:
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist
