Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Mom Baby Seasonal PRN position. Qualifications

Required

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Required
  • Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) Required
  • STABLE must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
  • Registered Nurse in the State of TX or holds a compact license
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Minimum of 1 year Mom Baby experience is required
  • Must work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period
  • Required to work two (2) holiday shifts each 4 week schedule period
  • Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off
  • Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy
  • Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND, D2/ECD, and D3/EVD)
  • Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation
  • Current FT/PT & PRN Level 3 employees are not eligible to join the Seasonal program for 2024-2025
  • Current employees of HWS are not eligible for the seasonal program

**Job Summary and Qualifications**

Under general supervision, the Staff RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. In collaboration with patient, patient's family, and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN is responsible for assessing the nursing care needs of patients, planning interventions and evaluating outcomes of care. The RN provides direct care and/or supervises nursing care of non-licensed nursing staff. The RN is responsible for providing care consistent with the Nursing Department's policies, procedures and standards of practice.

RN's are responsible for providing care, which is appropriate to the age specific (infant, adolescent, and adult patients), developmental and safety needs of the assigned patient population. In addition to the RN duties and responsibilities, the RN scope includes charge duties. The charge nurse makes patient assignments, and supervises and directs the staff and unit activities for the assigned shift.

**What qualifications you will need:**

Seasonal Program Requirements:

· All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.

· Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need.

· Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period.

· During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee).

· Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital.

· Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy.

· Seasonal Staff will **not** be eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND, D2/ECD, and D3/EVD)

· Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.

· **Current FT/PT & PRN Level 3 employees are not eligible** to join the Seasonal program for 2024-2025 with the exception of RNs that participated in the Seasonal program in the previous year.

· Current employees of HWS are **not eligible** for the seasonal program.

· Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department.
