Full Job Description

Description

At Amazon, we believe that every day is "Day One." A day for the first step or to meet a new challenge, and today could be the day that you become part of a bigger idea. Come join a group of creative people that help redefine the company daily. Working for Amazon is a new excitement every day.

Enterprise Engineering is an internal tool building team seeking a technical expert to help us take our productivity tooling into the next decade and beyond. We are seeking a talented engineer skilled in services such as Microsoft Exchange 2019, Exchange Online, and Windows-based systems, with AWS micro-services experience, and who understands the Agile mindset and DevSecOps philosophies. However, you should not be constrained by how "things are usually done" and be willing to decompose and reinvent systems, processes, and tools. If you possess that rare mix of depth in Development, Security, Operations and Systems Engineering then we are waiting for your application.

Amazon has a fast-paced environment where we "Work Hard, Have Fun, Make History." On a "typical" day engineers might deep dive to root cause a customer issue, investigate why a metric is trending the wrong way, consult with the top engineers at Amazon, or discuss radical new approaches to automate operational issues.

We are seeking a passionate and motivated engineer to participate on a team of Exchange Systems Engineers. The ideal candidate would be innovative and have great problem solving and analytical skills. You must be very comfortable and confident working on Windows and Exchange systems and familiar with fundamental Exchange Server patching and administration. You must have very strong knowledge of operating system and networking fundamentals. You understand TCP/IP and other common network protocols. You are proficient with at least one high-level scripting language (PowerShell, Python, GoLang). You should have a bias toward automation and track record of creating automated solutions. You have experience operating distributed systems and diagnosing and resolving complex problems. You pay attention to detail and solve problems at their root.
