The Systems Endpoint Administrator at KORE1 is responsible for managing and administering the computer desktop environment, server, and related peripheral equipment. This role involves a broad knowledge of server and endpoint configuration and administration, with a focus on Microsoft System Center Platforms, Azure AD/AD, PowerShell, and endpoint management with MSFT Intune. Responsibilities

  • Microsoft System Center Platforms
  • Server and Endpoint health monitoring and mitigation
  • Develop enterprise Operating Systems imaging / deployment methodology
  • Manage existing MECM/SCCM and Intune deployment
  • Create and manage application deployment objects for new and existing software

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or a relevant subject matter preferred
  • 5-7 years equivalent experience in an IT / Desktop Support role
  • Experience implementing/managing desktop management platform, imaging, software deployment and related technologies
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems. MCSE or equivalent certifications preferred
  • Strong experience with Microsoft System Center Platforms
  • Experience supporting existing Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services and Azure Active Directory deployment
  • Strong experience with endpoint management with MSFT Intune
  • Experience administering and maintaining Microsoft 365 services and applications
  • Strong experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell

Preferred

  • Experience managing access controls, permissions, and DFSR health on file servers
  • Scripting and automation of common tasks leveraging PowerShell and related tools

KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer / Admin: MS 365, Windows Server, virtualized server, EntraID/AD, SCCM, & MDM


The Systems Engineer / Administrator / Endpoint Admin is part of the System Administrator / Engineering team and is responsible for managing and troubleshoot large complex systems consisting of a combination that may include servers, storage arrays, and the physical and logical components that integrate these systems together. In this function, he / she is responsible for reliable and secure performance of the enterprise. The Systems Admin / Engineer demonstrates sound understanding of vendor specific best practices to manage and monitor a secure computing environment, while meeting or exceeding service levels or designed performance metrics. The Systems Admin / Engineer manages all related infrastructure including datacenters, servers, storage arrays, backup, and business applications in physical or virtual form, for both on-prem or cloud solutions.


Reporting to the Sr. IT Infrastructure Manager, this candidate will need to have a broad knowledge of server and endpoint configuration and administration, and the ability to quickly learn new and unfamiliar technologies. This position will be an integral part in the day-to-day operations and planning for the future of our IT infrastructure.


INITIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configure, install, and troubleshoot complex Windows Server environments including virtualization technology such as Hyper-V, Failover Clustering, System Center Operations Manager and Virtual Machine Manager.
  • Configure, install, and troubleshoot storage solutions (HPE Nimble)
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Monitor daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or a relevant subject matter preferred.

  • 1+ years of recent or current experience working in an enterprise windows environment.

  • 2-5 years of virtualization / hyper-visor experience w/ Hyper-V preferred
  • 1-3+ years of backup experience w/ Veeam preferred
  • Storage experience is a plus, HPE an even bigger plus.
  • Azure skills are a plus
  • Strong experience with Microsoft System Center Platforms including
  • Server and Endpoint health monitoring and mitigation. (We use Windows & Hyper-V servers.)
  • Developing enterprise Operating Systems imaging / deployment methodology.

Compensation depends on experience but is $75-150K plus bonus.
