  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation

Qualifications

Required

  • Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Active BLS required
  • DEA required
  • Valid, current Florida Medical License
  • Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license
  • BLS & ACLS certification

Full-time opportunity in an outpatient setting for an APP or PA-C

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or PA to join our growing behavioral health team. The APP or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for:

+ Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to formulate accurate diagnoses

+ Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapeutic interventions

+ Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects

+ Provide trauma-informed psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups to address mental health challenges and promote resilience

+ Collaborate effectively with our primary care providers, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated whole person care

+ Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing and improving overall well-being

+ Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients

+ Strong communication skills

+ Strong medical decision-making skills

+ Displaying a caring and professional attitude at all times

+ Documenting in a timely and thorough manner

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

+ Valid, current Florida Medical License
