  • Attention to detail and successful time managing skills
  • Cafeteria or Batch cooking on a rotating schedule
  • Ability to plan and execute health menus on a rotating pattern
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and positive execution skills
  • Must be able to change course in daily activities when schedule calls for such

Full Job Description

Position Purpose:

To manage the daily operation of the kitchen, preparing quality, healthy meals for campers while keeping a clean workspace following proper health procedures and code.

Qualifications:

+ Must be 21 years of age or older

+ Must have 2-5 years documented kitchen managing experience

+ Punctual, reliable, and has ability to work varied shifts if needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

+ Serv-Safe Certified or ability to become certified

+ Proven track record of successfully managing a kitchen of at least 10 employees if not more that focuses on training, retaining, and team building

+ Attention to detail as well as successful time managing skills

+ Cafeteria or Batch cooking on a rotating schedule

+ Ability to plan and execute health menus on a rotating pattern

+ Enjoys working as part of a team as well as positive execution skills

+ Must be able to change course in daily activities when schedule calls for such

Physical Requirements:

+ Frequent standing for extended periods of time

+ Must be able to lift and move objects of up to 50lbs

Some physical requirements of this position could be endurance including standing, running, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate equipment and demonstrate sports activities. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/program. Willingness to work in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering program in the facility available.
