Responsibilities

  • Architect, build and maintain efficient data models (Conceptual, Logical and Physical) and ontology based on requirements to support multiple data driven applications
  • Develop and launch efficient & reliable data pipelines to ingest and transform data
  • Deploy inclusive data quality checks to ensure quality of data, monitor daily job execution, and diagnose/fix issues to ensure SLAs
  • Collaborate with product manager and product engineers, data owners, data stewards and customers to implement and maintain data products to serve analytics, ML and reporting needs
  • Work with other engineers to improve reliability, documentation and automation to simplify self-service support for datasets
  • Develop and adopt best practices for governance of data sets with sensitive information

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience building data pipelines and API integrations using languages such as Python, Java, Scala
  • High level of proficiency in SQL, including query optimization skills
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse partners to design evolvable datasets
  • Experience with data modeling and domain driven design
  • Experience with one or more tools for data storage and computation (BigQuery, Postgres, Trino, Kafka, Pubsub), pipeline management and orchestration (Airflow, dbt)
  • Knowledge of at least one data modeling software tool such as Erwin, ER/Studio, or Power Designer
