Qualifications

Required

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of payer, market access and/or analytics experience
  • Master’s degree and 4 years of payer, market access and/or analytics experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of payer, market access and/or analytics experience
  • Associate’s Degree and 10 years of payer, market access and/or analytics experience
  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of payer, market access and/or analytics experience

Preferred

  • Launch experience, preferably in Oncology
  • Previous international (ex-US) assignment at country, regional or global level
  • Understanding of the payer environment in major countries
  • Ability to review clinical and health economic literature
  • Strong oral/written presentation skills

The capabilities of the Integrated Access Strategy (IAS) group, within the Global Value & Access function (GV&A), positions Amgen for future success against this business-critical imperative. This team is responsible for strategic planning of value and access for all Amgen molecules in development, beginning in Phase I-II and extending throughout commercialization across the Amgen portfolio. This work also includes lifecycle planning and access support for top 10 markets for selected in-the-market products. Additionally, the team is responsible for global strategic pricing, including recommendations for global price bands and indication/country launch sequence.In this vital role you will report to the bemarituzumab Access Strategy Lead within the Oncology IAS team. The Value & Access Senior Manager role will support launch execution across top 10 markets, the global pricing and access strategy definition for the asset, as well as lifecycle planning and optimization for future indications. This role is global and strategic in nature and the Value & Access Senior Manager will interact cross-functionally within a variety of teams and in close collaboration with the HEOR, Operational Pricing Teams, Center for Observational Research (CfOR), Medical and Marketing counterparts. In addition, the Senior Manager will work closely with access leads in the top 10 Countries and be responsible for facilitating the Global Access Team (GAT) forum. In addition to product-specific responsibilities, the Senior Manager may participate in one or more portfolio projects to support the Oncology franchise with respect to developing a deeper understanding of the latest payer trends and health systems evolution. Such projects will require working cross-functionally within Amgen to further organizational goals within the Oncology franchise.Support global launch activities for the top 10 markets including planning and updates of access materials for affiliates such as refinement of the Global Value Story and Objection Handler, pricing guidance materials, negotiation frameworks etc.Run and facilitate the Global Access Team forum and ensure standard process sharing across top 10 markets and insights gathering to inform access, pricing and payer evidence strategy refinement for the assetSupport Pricing Governance for top 10 markets including development and preparation of regional and global pricing business casesSupport launch execution across top 10 markets including Response to Question (RTQ) support in collaboration with HEORMaintain the GV&A launch tracker and coordinate updates and refinements with top 10 markets and regional value & access leadsSupport forecast / LRS for LCM indications and review top 10 markets pricing/access assumptions for in-line indicationsWith the ASL, conduct situation analysis and payer/pricing research of external pricing and reimbursement environment regarding different LCM indications, and synthesize relevant information to develop strategic recommendation for the Product TeamSupport franchise level initiatives to develop the oncology market and optimize Amgen’s oncology, with a focus on payers & policy makersThe role may involve travel (less than 5% domestic and international).WinWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.
