The role involves designing, building, deploying & supporting GUIs & analytical tools which are used by our global Trading, Strat and Support teams to operate a variety of trading systems. The candidate will be working as part of a fast-moving IT / quant / trading team on systems which span complex option trading to high volume market making.Top-notch core Angular development skills and a track record building resilient, scalable message-driven systems is a must-have. This is an agile, front-office role facing off with the business and, as such, strong communication skills and an ability to work in a global team is essential. Role Profile:> You will be using core Angular to build the strategic electronic GUI platform.> The role involves working directly with the global trading, quant and IT teams to advance the platforms and the businesses they serve.> The project portfolio is varied, spanning the build out of new GUIs for automated trading systems; enhancements to the platform to improve technical performance; working with colleagues on the server-side to improve APIs and the interaction across both sides of the platforms.> The applications we build include high volume & time critical market making systems through to advanced display of complex trading analytics.> You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle from discussing and agreeing requirements, formulating designs and developing and deploying the changes.> The systems you will work on are critical to the business and operate in demanding electronic trading environments and, as such, must be highly available, scalable and able to manage high throughput, large volume messaging and data-sets.QualificationsSkills required- Expert in Angular- Experience of developing and optimising demanding Angular message driven GUIs managing high update rates- Experience of working with end users directly- Clear verbal and written communication - Track record of designing systems which can be automatically tested- Strong troubleshooting ability- Development and architecture style focused on maintainability, stability and resiliencySkills desired:- Knowledge of automated trading systems, specifically trading GUIs- Knowledge of equity derivatives or other similar asset classes (FX, fixed income, spread/CFD)- Java, C#/WPF- Knowledge of KDB or other time series data analysis systemsExpected base pay rates for the role will be between $140,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
