As a Senior Systems Software Engineer at Groq, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team environment to develop, integrate, and test machine learning HPC platforms.   • Work multi-functionally with other software, hardware, architecture, and support teams to deliver system software for AI platforms, Linux drivers, PCIe drivers, and user space libraries.
  • Develop hardware abstraction layers between Groq hardware and applications in a highly distributed architecture.
  • Triage and debugging of various SW issues.
  • System integration of embedded systems with Silicon, Firmware, and Software.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of working experience in a similar role.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Extensive experience developing low-level performant systems in C++. Advantage: experience in Rust and Python.
  • Experience developing high performance, low-latency application runtime software on distributed systems.
  • Prior Experience with low latency data transfer between I/O devices and memory would be a plus.
  • Proficiency with debugging large, complex distributed system software.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization, hardware/software integration, and Low latency IPC over a network.
  • Genuine passion for system engineering and hardware/software integration
  • Experience developing and shipping low-level system software for x86 and ARM.
