This is a role for a creative individual who wants to help shape the future direction of our LegalZoom offerings and who has strong engineering chops, opinions on what good product and design flows look like, is comfortable with ambiguity, and enjoys collaborating within a team environment.You’ll help by progressing the LegalZoom experience and you’ll also inspire and elevate the team by producing work that is always raising the bar and taking a customer-obsessed approach to solving problems.You will Build software solutions which meet and exceed operating targets of reliability, scalability, security, maintainability and performanceDevelop and define the architecture and tech stack Work cross-functionally with many teams: Engineering, Product, Technical Operations, Data Science, etc...Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stackImprove engineering standards, tooling, and processesYou haveHave 4+ years of experience in a hands-on software engineering roleBachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experiencePassion for building high-impact, well-performing user experiences across different form-factors/devicesStrong coding skills in Javascript/TypescriptWork experience preferred in one or more of the following technologies: React/Redux, Remix, Github Actions, GraphQL, SQL DB, No-SQL DB.Experience or desire to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with design, product and data science partnersExperience mentoring engineersLegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is $108,000 - $216,000. Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
