If you're passionate about consumer products, e-commerce, and high-growth start-ups, keep reading!Job Summary: As a Senior Analytics Engineer at Ruggable, you will own, contribute, and extend the business’s data pipelines by cleansing, standardizing, modeling, and transforming source data into usable data marts. You will be a key technical leader on a team whose goal is to build and maintain foundational data infrastructure essential to driving Ruggable’s revenue growth and accelerating user acquisition. You will work closely with technology leadership, data engineers, data analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to build best-in-class data models and processes that stitch together complex sets of data stores and drive actionable insights.What You’ll Do:Design and build fact and dimension models from disparate data sources (common data model) using DBT & airflowDesign and build data mart data models from the common data model using DBT & airflow based on rigorous requirement gathering with business stakeholdersBuild out Looker models utilizing data mart tables & help administrate the Looker instanceImplement data governance and data quality checks at various stages in the data pipelinesDrive technical implementation of projects and mentor more junior engineers on the teamWhat You’ll Need to Have:Required:Minimum of 5+ years relevant experience as an Analytics Engineer and/or Data EngineerProficiency in scripting languages like PythonFamiliarity with version control systems such as GitDeep understanding of SQL with relational data stores and column-oriented database systems such as Redshift, Postgres, and CockroachDBAbility to interact cross-functionally with non-technical departmentsAbility to work individually and as part of a team + capacity to lead technical projects with minimal directionSupport and expand standards, guidelines, tooling, and best practices for analytics engineeringExperience with data modeling best practices (fact/dimension)Experience with extensive data QA/validation (root cause analysis)Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologiesKnowledge of BI Tools like Tableau, Looker, etc Preferred:Experience with AWS or relevant cloud toolsExperience with workflow and orchestration management tools like AirflowExperience with reporting migrations/system migrations (model refactoring, validation, root cause analysis)Working knowledge of API integration or Stream-based data extraction and structured, semi-structured and unstructured file formats (understand upstream processes)Compensation:$140,000 - $160,000 per year base salaryAn annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of roleEmployer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K planAt Ruggable, we offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
