The Salesforce Technical Lead/Senior Manager, IT Global Risk Management (REMS Applications) will be accountable for implementing and supporting strategic information systems that helps achieve Global Risk Management application’s vision of effective data delivery and information exchange to advance REMS programs, accelerates patient access, shape medical practice, and drive appropriate adoption of BMS medicines. This role owns end-to-end responsibility for managing the design, development, and technical support of REMS applications primarily on Salesforce platform ensuring they are reliable, scalable, & secure. The Salesforce Technical Lead/Senior Manager shall provide strong technical architecture, design & development oversight and contribute across IT GRM team comprised of BMS staff, onshore and offshore contractors/vendor partners. The successful candidate will be a seasoned technical lead with hands-on experience across a wide range of current IT technologies. Provide technical direction to the Development team throughout the project. Offer technical decisions regarding the solution design, by closely partnering with the cross technical teams that includes IT Cybersecurity, Data Privacy Office, and other downstream application teams. Actively participate & drive application design & data modeling for all new implementation or enhancements. Work in a delivery-focused application development environment, proactively owning the technical design and delivery of robust, scalable and performant business applications. Work towards full life cycle implementation of applications and services: requirement analysis, design, development, test, implementation, and support. Showcase a track record of managing & significantly contributing to a portfolio of development projects, successfully balancing priorities, resolving issues, and communicating status. Ability to contribute to strategic direction and to convert strategy to execution, including driving a strong service-oriented architectural strategy. Model the BMS core behaviors: decide and act, connect and collaborate, innovate, and improve, grow, and engage. Be a coder, as well as become the go to architect for team's most challenging technical needs. Desired Experience:Hands-on working experience with Salesforce Platform (Healthcloud preferred), Salesforce Configuration and Customization including Release Management. Ability to develop on Force.com platform using apex, visualforce, lightning components, lightning web components, etc. Proven knowledge and work experience in Salesforce Development and Integration to design & build technical solutions and implementation on Salesforce applications that includes Salesforce Health Cloud, Salesforce community/experience cloud, Salesforce Shield, and Data Mask. Knowledge & working experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Flosum preferred. Must have experience dealing across broad technical domain teams such as Cybersecurity, Network, Infrastructure, Data, etc. Experience with broader programming technologies such as HTML, XML, JSON, jQuery, SOAP, AJAX, JavaScript. Experience across a diverse set of cloud providers: AWS, Azure, Salesforce, Pega Cloud etc. Work experience in any AI, NLP & RPA tool is preferred. Understanding of architecture methodologies such as TOGAF preferred. Deep knowledge of IT methodologies such as SDLC and Agile techniques required. Proven abilities to plan, manage, deliver, and support strategic digital capability programs, from concept initiation through delivery and steady-state operations. Support experience in dealing with complex technical issues and working with key business stakeholders to develop and provide solutions for short-term remediation and long-term strategy. Experience in developing technical strategies to support implementations and long-term maintenance of Salesforce based solutions. Ability to balance strategic and tactical needs while adjusting to changing priorities. Qualification:Advanced Degree in Engineering or Computer Science (preferred). BS in Computer Science or related degree (preferred) 7 years of relevant industry experience in software design, architecture, development, IT and Business Operations. Experience working in a global organization with complex structure and technology needs is a benefit. At least 5+ years of direct experience in software development and/or programming, design and systems management using Salesforce. 5+ years of technical team lead experience is a benefit. Strong experience in Salesforce Service Cloud, Health Cloud and Community Cloud is expected. Salesforce Certification (Advanced Developer or Platform Developer) is a benefit. Experience in Life Sciences/Pharma industry with domain expertise in Global Drug Development is preferred. Deep understanding of Regulatory & Compliance (Validation) processes in Pharma industry, and work experience preferred. Should be able to rapidly acquire domain & technical skills within Patient Safety/Global Risk Management portfolio, with limited training and knowledge. May lead initiatives related to continuous improvement or implementation of new technologies. Works independently on most deliverables. Possess strong analytical skills with ability to learn quickly. Participates in decision making and brings a variety of strong views and perspective to achieve team objectives. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with technical team members, middle level, and senior management across multiple functions. Articulates and presents complex information clearly and concisely across all levels. Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge and expertise thereby establishing a strong reputation for themselves and the team.​ Strong Emotional Intelligence and ability to adjust communication styles.
