Rapid7 is seeking a highly motivated and talented Sales Development Manager to join our North American Sales Development team. Responsibilities

  • Coach and manage a team of SDRs to master skills across sales development including cold calling, setting the stage for the customer experience, understanding security personas, leading discovery calls, and positioning Rapid7 solutions
  • Have a maniacal focus on outcomes and impact, closely monitoring metrics such as dials per day, conversion rates to opportunities, and close rates
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of SDR team including live coaching and mentoring, call statistics, conversions, and pipeline build
  • Work closely with sales managers and account executives to ensure proper alignment on opportunity quality, follow-up on hand off, and Account Executive promotion eligibility
  • Partner and communicate effectively with various functional teams including Sales Enablement, Sales, Marketing, and Business Operations to maximize opportunities for growth and efficiencies
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvements around process, efficiency, and productivity of the Sales Development team

Qualifications

Required

  • Demonstrated excellence in leadership within software sales for at least 2 years
  • Experience hiring, training, and coaching aspiring Sales Professionals
  • Experience facilitating a feedback loop between marketing, sales, and sales development
  • Experience inspecting, analyzing, and coaching sales skills/strategies
  • Understanding of extensive sales process around discovery and qualification
  • Comfortable with common sales technologies leveraged to generate and manage sales pipeline

Rapid7 is seeking a highly motivated and talented Sales Development Manager to join our North American Sales Development team. You will guide the team’s efforts in pipeline generating activities including phone, email, social, and video prospecting. You will teach them how to build strategy into their prospecting efforts and appeal to particular personas and industries. In tandem, you will be responsible as the coach for their development and progression as sales professionals on their journey towards Account Executives.. About the TeamAs the Sales Development Manager, you will develop, coach, and train a highly-motivated team of SDRs who are early in their careers and aspire to become Rapid7 Account Executives. Our SDRs are often the first interaction potential customers have with Rapid7, making them a critical part of beginning any partnership for the business.
