Qualifications

Required

  • Associate degree
  • 1 - 3 years of similar experience in a dispatching or similar role
  • Understanding of DOT regulations and state regulations for height and weight maximums
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled at analyzing complex data and identifying discrepancies
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Computer skills including MS Excel and Outlook
  • Solid problem-solving skills and ability to maintain a collaborative approach

Job purpose


The Trucking Dispatcher receives, schedules, and updates all truck orders for a construction company. This role will primarily work evenings and overnights.

Coordinate and communicate truck breakdown issues, schedule changes and weather-related cancellations to appropriate contacts.
