Responsibilities

  • Establish annual Retailer specific 'Go-to-Market' Channel Marketing Strategy.
  • Drive cross-functional team execution to achieve product category specific assortment & performance to attain sales, margin, and market share growth in the Retail Channel.
  • Elevate KOHLER Brand by driving new / innovative Marketing efforts to support Integrated Product Marketing Launch Plans for Retailer Exclusive Products.
  • Develop Retail Channel Marketing product category business plans to identify key areas of growth potential for both short & long-term growth with retail partners.
  • Manage Promotional Marketing Calendar, proactively recommend product category pricing promotion / adjustment financial recommendations to achieve sales & margin targets.
  • Accountable to manage financial budget Retail Channel Promotions & Marketing team.
  • Effectively communicate & partner with Kohler Retail Sales & Product Category Management teams to align consumer needs, expectations, and desires with New Product Schedule through valid business metrics.
  • Lead & coach direct team of Retail Channel Managers to achieve successful financial results & high associate engagement.
  • Drive the Voice of Consumer into Retail Marketing efforts through Consumer Research Studies in partnership with Kohler Research Team.
  • Partner with Kohler Retail Sales team to test & learn new innovative Marketing / Selling approaches in Retail Channel to drive differentiated customer experiences.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • 10+ years experience in Sales / Marketing / Brand roles, with minimum of 3 years driving strategy / execution with large retail customers (e.g., Home Depot, Lowe’s, Costco).
  • 5+ years of direct Team Leadership experience with minimum of 5 Direct Reports.
  • Track record of driving successful, innovative, marketing efforts with Channel Partners.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends, customer insights, and sales data analysis.
  • 3-5 years minimum of P&L, strategic planning and/or budgeting experience.
  • Ability to travel approximately 1-2 times a month for customer visits, trade shows, and training (or approx. 30% annually).

Sr. Brand Manager, Retail MarketingWork Mode: HybridLocation: Hybrid out of Kohler, WI (Hybrid collaboration days for this role: Tue/Weds/Thur)OpportunityThis key role is within our Kitchen & Bath Marketing organization, reporting to the Director of Retail Marketing, and will be responsible to develop & execute our Retail Channel Marketing ‘Go-To-Market’ Strategy across our retail partners such as: Home Depot, Lowe’s, Costco, and Menards. The Marketing Manager - Retail will directly lead a team of Channel Managers, to create a holistic ‘Go-to-Market’ approach for Retail Exclusive Products that will elevate & differentiate the KOHLER brand to drive Retail Channel Sales and elevated KOHLER brand experience.The Marketing Manager – Retail is responsible for developing and implementing the long and short-term category specific Integrated Marketing Launch Plans, Merchandising, and Marketing Promotions for Retail Exclusive Products with key internal partnership of Retail Sales, Product Category Management, Brand, and Communication leadership teams to increase market share of KOHLER & Sterling products across all categories with Retail Partners. This role will work directly with the Category Management & Retail Sales leadership teams to drive market share, profitability and revenue goals ensuring a cohesive brand strategy throughout the retail space.
