  • Making data-driven decisions using appropriate analytical methodologies.

  • Assisting in the identification and selection of outside suppliers and consultants as required.
  • Preparing for various design reviews in accordance with regulatory and quality system requirements.
  • Verifying that designs meet functional requirements through engineering analyses and testing.
  • Establishing test methods, acceptance criteria, and test equipment, conducting hand-on testing, and writing test reports.
  • Coaching and mentoring other sustaining engineers on the team.

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years combined experience in product and process development for medical devices.
  • Extensive experience in FDA regulated medical device development.
  • Strong working knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations, ISO 13485, etc.
  • BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Material Science, Physics, etc.) (MS Degree preferred).
  • Analytical knowledge to drive data-driven decisions throughout the development cycle.
  • Design for manufacturability knowledge and applicable skills.
  • Ability to perform physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.

Preferred

  • Catheter experience.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory/notified bodies requirements and their auditing practices.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
