Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage security solutions, including Rapid7 (or similar software), GPO, SOC, Patching, and SolarWinds, to protect the organization's infrastructure.
  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to identify weaknesses and potential threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents and breaches.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare security regulations, such as HITRUST, and ensure compliance.
  • Provide expertise in security patching, vulnerabilities, and remediation, making recommendations to improve the security posture.
  • Manage access and permissions to secure folders and critical systems, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to security processes and configurations.
  • Participate in on-call support and incident response activities as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a security engineering role, with a strong focus on healthcare security.
  • Proven experience with security tools such as Rapid7 (or similar software), GPO, SOC, Patching, and SolarWinds.
  • Familiarity with HITRUST compliance standards and experience implementing HITRUST controls is a major plus.
  • Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP and/or CISM are highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of security patching, vulnerabilities, and remediation.
  • Strong understanding of access and permissions management for secure folders and systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to security best practices.
