A successful candidate will need to employ strong knowledge in computer technologies, leadership skills in technical areas, and SW engineering expertise as well as a strong ability to compete effectively in a fast-paced, relevant environment while working with different teams of engineers and collaborators. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with AMD’s architecture specialists to understand and debug compiler resultsApply a data minded approach to develop new analysis and debug compiler capabilities like fusion, tiling and memory allocationDebug on new ML models and/or new hardwareDevelop technical relationships with peers and partnersValidate new SW features before releasing them to customersContribute to a high-functioning feature teamCollaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support themHelp contribute to the design and implementation of future architecture for a highly scalable, durable, and innovative systemPREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Good knowledge and hands-on experience in Python, C, C++Solid understanding of object-oriented-design principlesSolid understanding of Software Engineering principles, Data structure, algorithms, Operating Systems concepts and multithread programmingExcellent design and code development skills, familiarity with Linux and modern software tools and techniques for developmentAbility to write and quantize a machine learning graph and convert to ONNX, PyTorch preferredExperience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers and source code control systems (GitHub)Ability to debug parallel software or hardwareGood analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and problem-solving skillsACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline Location: San Jose, Ca. #LI-JT1 At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.
