Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Architect Senior Staff for the Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) Program, a vital and complex Space Systems project aimed at establishing a sustainable lunar landing architecture for human exploration.   • Work hand in hand with the vehicle RSE, system integrators, and other subject matter experts to ensure a verifiable and manufacturable solution that meets customer requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • Demonstrated experience as a system architect or equivalent, working on a complex space system program
  • Experience in performing multiple Systems Engineering functions such as system trade studies and/or system modeling, system architecture or CONOPS development, requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development, system integration, test and/or verification, and design reviews
  • Strong team collaboration, communication, and presentation skills

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Human Landing System (HLS) programs and the challenges associated with lunar exploration programs
  • Experience working on NASA human exploration programs
  • Demonstrated experience working through the full lifecycle phases of a space development program
  • Experience applying Lockheed Martin Systems Engineering processes related to this position
  • Master's Degree in Systems Engineering or applicable discipline, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate
  • Proficiency in engineering tools such as SysML/Cameo Magic Draw, DOORS, MATLAB, Model Center
  • Experience applying the Agile program management philosophy
  • Space system design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker
  • Ability to lead multi-functional teams and lead multiple teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
