Clarivate Analytics is seeking a Manager, Product Sales to lead a team and drive sales activity for assigned product lines within an assigned territory. This role involves collaborating with Account Managers to deliver the value proposition of specialty products, acting as the subject matter expert, and managing a team of Product Sales Managers. Responsibilities

  • Manage 1-2 Product Sales Managers and work closely with Account Managers to sell the ProQuest One Suite of Products across North America.
  • Develop and execute the sales strategy to drive new business and renewals with an emphasis on product bundling, key sales initiatives, territory and account planning as well as negotiation to support the team.
  • Focus on new business, uncovering opportunities, creating target lists, prospects, and participating in territory planning while engaging the Account Manager as appropriate.
  • Qualify top opportunities based upon key initiatives and product roadmap driven from sales leadership for the product sales team; coordinates with Account Manager on plans to be incorporated into overall territory and specific account plans.
  • Responsible for weekly forecasting and reporting against identified key sales initiatives.
  • Engage in day-to-day management of the team including training & development of staff.
  • Interface with Revenue and business unit leadership as needed (i.e.: product management, pricing, marketing, pre and post sales implementation teams, finance).
  • Regularly attend conferences, exhibitions, seminars and customer appointments to support sales and meet the needs of the market.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 7 years of experience leading demonstrations, trainings, and presentations
  • 7 years of experience articulating value propositions for specialty product(s) and responding to inquiries about product functionality
  • 7 years of proven track record of successful technology and/or online content sales
  • 3 years of experience leading sales teams

Preferred

  • Strong collaborating skills with the ability to work well in a highly matrixed environment
  • Ability to analyze, compare, evaluate, reconcile and draw meaningful conclusions and action plans from data to develop sales strategy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach resolution and maintain strong relationships.
  • High level of enthusiasm, with strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong working knowledge of SalesForce.com and other programs relevant to the role.
  • Advanced degree in Library Science or related field
