The Director of Product Management, ESG, at Workiva is responsible for leading product management efforts in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Sustainability. Responsibilities

  • Understand and identify customer needs, validate solutions, address pain points, and ensure products meet customer needs
  • Represent the voice of the ESG customer across the organization
  • Manage the i2i life cycle, taking ownership from ideation through implementation and ensuring product and market fit
  • Define the product roadmap to ensure we are building the right solutions for customers as well as future target customers
  • Identify and resolve potential problems, ensuring alignment with broader business goals
  • Accelerate growth by leading the design and development of product capabilities to increase retention, reduce churn, and acquire new customers
  • Author and maintain product vision and strategy, define priorities and OKRs, and establish success criteria
  • Build and Mentor a team of product managers, providing guidance and mentorship
  • Conduct regular product reviews and analyze product performance metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement
  • Lead Product Managers to deliver against business OKRs
  • Work closely with PMO, Solution Engineering, Solutions Development Consulting, Partners, and Technical Solutions within Growth, as well as collaborate with cross-functional aligned departments

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years related product management experience in software development or a related field
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field

Preferred

  • 5+ years direct people management experience preferred, including leading directors and managers in product organization
  • MBA preferred
  • Experience leading and/or managing multiple functions of an operation
  • Proven success driving product strategy and product releases in a comparable environment
  • Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Expertise in product management from inception to go-to-market
  • Ability to handle ambiguity, change and adapt to new priorities
  • Demonstrated desire to learn about, explore and understand new business problems, personas and technology landscapes
  • Disciplined in critical thinking and testing new ideas and solutions rapidly and with urgency

Full Job Description

The Director of Product Management, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), is the product leader for Workiva’s ESG and Sustainability customers. As a key leader on the ESG and Sustainability team, this role supports our Innovation to Incubation (I2I) process by driving early ideation, discovery, and incubation to help Workiva enter new markets and develop new solutions in ESG and Sustainability. This role requires the ability to learn quickly, test new ideas, and drive disciplined decision-making, as well as the ability to execute, monitor results, and adjust.
