OVERVIEWThis position can be based out of San Francisco or New York.We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Ledgers team. The Ledgers product is a database that enables companies to track high volume money movement following double-entry accounting principles. It powers the day-to-day operations of global marketplaces, cards, and peer-to-peer money transfer systems – like ClassPass, Bilt, and Splitwise.Our API is often our customers’ most critical piece of infrastructure. We place a premium on building robust, scalable systems that can sustain a high volume of API calls and exceed the reliability requirements to move money at scale. We complement this with well-thought-out interfaces for our users and pride in writing quality API docs.In addition to our API, we build a web platform that is used by accountants, controllers, and engineers. They use it to perform bank reconciliation, generate reports, and monitor their business.
