  • Providing ongoing support to Legence businesses for active opportunities as needed
  • Validating and qualifying sales leads received from various business units
  • Generating new opportunities with prospective customers
  • Coordinating stakeholders within relevant business units to initiate and execute the sales process
  • Managing and mentoring direct reports as needed
  • Contributing to the strategic direction of the central sales team
  • Taking ownership of key processes

Qualifications

Required

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics pertaining to mission critical markets
  • Familiarity with advisory, engineering, program management, solutions delivery, and other projects in the built environment
  • Proven track record of successfully generating large complex deals
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new cross-business unit opportunities with net-new customers
  • Skill in qualifying sales leads received from various business units, evaluating their potential and alignment with Legence's offerings
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and written / verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers

As the primary relationship driver for the mission critical focus, the Business Development Director will be dedicated to expanding Legence's business across its portfolio of capabilities.
