Responsibilities

  • Elicit requirements from technical and non-technical team members.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor infrastructure projects according to established standards and methodologies.
  • Define and document project objectives, scope, deliverables, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies.
  • Develop infrastructure conceptual solution approach for complex infrastructure problem leveraging across domain expertise and experience.
  • Mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Communicate project status to all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with project team members, sponsors, customers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Ensure that the project deliverables meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Manage the procurement, installation, configuration, testing, and integration of IT infrastructure components and systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team and customers on infrastructure solutions and best practices.
  • Conduct project reviews, lessons learned, and post-implementation audits.

Qualifications

Required

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 12+ years’ experience as an Infrastructure Engineer in multiple disciplines
  • 12+ years’ experience managing multi-technology Infrastructure service and solution projects
  • Deep understanding in 3-4 specialty Infrastructure discipline areas: Networking, Security, Middleware, Server, Storage, End-User Computing, Cloud, Databases

Preferred

  • Experience with ServiceNow, Confluence, Jira, and TargetProcess
  • Project management fundamentals and PMP certification

This highly technical infrastructure project manager will join an engineering team who is actively modernizing its hosting infrastructure and architecting for the future. This role is a high level position designed to be a mentor, soundboard, and driver of infrastructure delivery across multiple disciplines. You will have the opportunity to influence the technical direction and execution across all infrastructure technologies, from cloud to middleware and from database to hosting platforms.In this role, you will work extensively with peers in other infrastructure disciplines to engineer, design, and implement technology changes and enhancements. You will work in a collaborative team environment, and team up with sourcing partners for operations & support services. This role will focus on implementing new technologies, and enhancements to existing technologies.The ideal candidate will have demonstrated delivery expertise with multiple infrastructure disciplines, across multiple teams, and the drive to learn new technologies. The candidate who will excel in this position is part Engineer, part Analyst, and part Coach.
