Product Development Manager

Metro Light & Power designs and manufactures Power and Data outlets, and custom LED lighting fixtures for Hospitality and Commercial Property sectors. As Product Development Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of the Power & Data Outlet product line. You will be responsible for managing both current and future product offerings, (from concept through manufacturing) ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, aesthetic appeal and market relevance. In addition, your focus will also be on maintaining strong relationships with our clients and distributors, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the order thru production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain existing Product line for Power & Data Outlets.
• Develop and execute new Power & Data Products that align with company goals and market trends.
• Manage daily communications with oversees office/factories.
• Work closely with engineering, design, production and marketing to bring new products to market.
• Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including pricing, packaging, and promotion.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and distributors, addressing inquiries and providing timely updates on orders and product information.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance and market trends to identify areas for growth and improvement.
• Travel to client sites and industry events as needed to represent the company and promote our products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in product development for consumer product/electronics and familiarity with production processes and techniques, (such as injection molding, CNC fabrication, electroplating, and assembly of products (preferably electrically related))
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and product management software, (Adobe Creative Suite and/or 3D CAD software knowledge a plus)
